Chris is almost 17! Yikes when did that happen. In two months, I will have a 17 year old! He finished his GED testing and is now done with high school. He is still searching for a job, but until that point, he is helping me out at home with the kids until college starts in the spring. He still loves his video games and his latest is concerts. He loves the freedom that comes with age. He has his driver's permit and is making sure mom is still alert while driving. Seriously, he is going to be a great driver. I just need to learn to chill out and trust him with my van. It is a very hard thing for me to do.
Kyle he LOVES school again this year. He is in 1st grade and has Mrs. Henry. She is so sweet. She loves my boy to pieces. He has recently discovered video games and if we give him the chance, well his is all over them. He still loves his Legos, but since we have 20 sets in one bin that a little bother helped destroy, he has lost a little interest. We are sorting them out to rebuild and make a city with. He has lost a few teeth this past year and loves when the tooth fairy comes to visit. He is my little saver. He has almost $50 and is saving for a huge Lego set that is $200. Santa might have to help him with that. He has joined Cub Scouts and is enjoying it so far. He said he can not wait to get to the point where he gets to go camping like big brother does. He has a few years yet, but love it.
Morgan, Mo, is our little princess who loves to be rough and tough with the boys. She loves to wear her dresses and go play out on her bike or try to play football. She is going to be a very strong and independent woman one day. She will not let anyone walk all over her! She loves, and I mean LOVES, to draw, color or create anything. She is such a great artist. I love her free spirit. She is in 4 year old preschool and loves her friends. She has grown to like a couple of the boys and when I tease her, she gets all shy.
Aaron, my little man. He is already 2.5 years old! He has decided that he wants to do it all himself. He is pity training and if we were not making the big trip to Dallas for turkey day, we would be in undies already. I am not quite ready to take that trip with a newly potty trained boy. He is such a goof ball. He loves to sing, dance, play with his Thomas trains or any toys that are transportation related. He is so stoked that he gets to fly on a real plane this weekend. He will keep up with the best of them and won't let anyone tell him no. He has the most laid back personality and is turning into a kid and no longer a baby.
I really miss them all being little. From the simple things of the first laugh, sitting up on their own, the first steps, or just snuggling with them. I do love my babies. No matter how old or big they get, they will always be my babies.
As for Dave and I, we are doing well. Keeping up with our kiddos and
Dave accepted a new position at CVS/Caremark and is traveling every other week right now. It is hard on the kids and mommy, but he loves his new job. This is something he has wanted for so long. I feel it makes our time together as a family more valuable.
I am still watching a few kiddos. I know have three families and two are teacher kiddos in the district we are in. That means, when they are on breaks, so are we. It is a perfect fit. Our third family is a part time one and I miss him while his mommy is on maternity leave waiting for his sister to come around Christmas. It does keep me on my toes and I can get my baby fix here.
Over the past year, I have really rediscovered our church and God. No, I will not preach to you, but this is who I am becoming. There is a higher power that has so much in store for me. He does everything for a reason. Like I said, I will not lecture you, but it is such a great feeling to know that God will take care of us if we open our hearts and minds to him. Through church we have met some really great people. They have opened my eyes to see the world as more positive and not to be negative all the time.
Okay, enough about me. Here are some pics of the kids over the past few months. As you can see, they are changing so much. They have grown to be their individual selves and I love every minute of it.
